Deakin University through Cockram Constructions, required a loose furniture package of storage, workspace and seating for their new AFFRIC building in Geelong.
The buildings' design and fit-out needed to embody a spirit of thought leadership, while creating an environment conducive to world class research.
Aligning to the corporate identity, the solution included customised workstations and personal storage systems, crafted in the building’s colour scheme and carefully selected to maximise space.
A range of accessories were provided including computer monitor arms, CPU holders, LED task lights and power and data modules to increase operator comfort and performance.
Bowen Interiors supplied executive meeting chairs, task chairs and laboratory drafting stools to provide functional, high quality seating for a range of areas.
Customised café tables were supplied for the AFFRIC building's breakout areas, creating a fresh, modern look in line with the relaxed surrounds.
Bowen Interiors worked within the AFFRIC buildings' existing design parameters and specifications to supply, deliver and install a furniture solution that not only complemented the colour scheme and architectural style of the buildings, but also maximised available floor space and facilitated efficient work flow.
The project was delivered on time and budget to the satisfaction of both Deakin University and their Managing Contractor.
